Neck Ears Hand Art Education
Jewelry should pay homage to the human form and all of its curves and mobility. Recent works explore how joints and connections affect the drape of a piece as it falls on the neck and shoulders. Methods of joinery include slots and tabs, rings, hinges, folds, stitches and rivets. Each mode of construction has taught me something new about the way materials respond to the planes of the body. Colorful vitreous enamels were applied to copper to showcase the glow of nature’s elements.
